We are growing our Go Sofia team, and we are looking for you!

Ideally, we are searching for people who have a few years of experience with Go and would like to jump into a new project, writing code from scratch with great opportunities for growth and development.

We are also looking for people who don’t have much practical experience in Go but would like to switch. For example, if you have several years of backend development and want to become a Golang developer, OpenTag might be the best place for you.

You will be a part of a small team with a very experienced Golang Tech Lead, who will help you become proficient in Go.

You will be expected to assist us in building the different interfaces, modules and components, helping us discover new technologies and continuously improve our stack and knowledge.

You are expected to speak of your mind, correct us, improve us and work together to stand within our sprints and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with our R&D leads the requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment, Working with the Delivery Manager and Product owners to make sure timetable and scopes are delivered as planned and expected.
• Verify and validate code quality through code reviews and workshops
• Flag any potential issue along with the architecture, flow or code
• Bring in innovation and new techs to the team’s stack

• At least 3 years of experience in Back-End development
• 1+ years experience Go programming language
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL DBS
• Hands-on experience with AMQP/Kafka protocols
• Containers experience (Docker, K8s)
• Habits in writing unit/integration tests
• Deep understanding of OOP (Solid, Grasp, DDD)
• Hands-on experience with gRPC/Apache Thrift – advantage
• Hands-on experience with Microservices in SOA – advantage
• Strong experience with GIT flows
• Strong experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Scrum workflow experience
• Upper-Intermediate English
